+ Maybe a second parent for it.
I am finally setting in motion something that was planned about a year ago and as such I need a parent horse with dominant white. Backup plan here if one can't be found is to breed a homo sabino which would express similarly but I would really love to go with the dom white.
Must be something accepted in warmbloods, so almost certainly a Thoroughbred or a WB with a high percentage of TB blood. Obviously I would prefer it if this parent had show experience, either effort or just rng/decided and it's fine if its also a racer. Not committed to any particular discipline yet so I'll look at anything but obviously jumping is preferred.
May or may not also need a second parent for this horse, obviously I could just use one of my own but it benefits my gene pool if it's unrelated so if you feel like you have a horse with something to contribute then by all means sign them up. W5/W5 and W22/W22 are thought to be embryonic lethal (kills the foal very very early in pregnancy, same premise as Lethal White Overo but before its born) so other parent cannot have dominant white. Ideally neither parent would be homozygous for any other modifiers beyond EE/AA.
As always I can pay through art or slot trades, I also have a whopping 24 points if you want those. For really, REALLY, nice horses I would not mind whipping out the paypal but I'm not actually expecting to find much with this search.
I'm bringing everyone's favorite good little guy Gael and as a lover of excessively formal things obviously he's going to their Valentine's Ball which means he needs a friend for it. His ideal date is someone who is also excessively formal and loves dressage, he would probably only dance with a woman but he's happy to attend with anyone. Happy to make this a collab, looking to get my entries for this done pretty soon as I have another show with much more going on that ends right after it and I'm gonna need a lot of time for that one
Even if you weren't around in the heyday to see those horses active you've probably noticed there's a few breeds in HARPG that seemingly trace back to like 3 horses and that's it. Trakehner's for example have Kaladerion and Erlkonig, if you want an extended lineage odds are those two and their descendants are your only choice which makes it really hard to avoid inbreeding unless you use starters.
With my 'old dead horses' venture I've created several generations of fresh Trakehner's that offer an alternate route for people that are looking for 3+ generations of lineage in a horse and I would love to branch out to other breeds that are similarly bottlenecked.
So, do you guys have any suggestions for (real life) breeds to expand on? Any out there with low populations, a small gene pool, or a user who held most of the gene pool deactivating/deleting horses?
(Also a reminder that all slots to 'old dead horses' are given out completely free and are in fact recommended to add lineage to already existing horses. While they will only have a made-up show career... so did most of the other foundation horses in HARPG.)
